About Mornington Hot Springs
The Mornington Hot Springs will be an Australian first with the Hot Spring and treatment destination being developed within the setting of a coastal golf course. The experience will offer a unique experience for patrons in an intimate and natural setting.
The project has been conceived by up and coming young international Designers The Office For Collective Design, as a series of dune-shaped pavilions housing treatments rooms, a restaurant and reception area. These sit within the forested sand dunes and Moonah trees.
The design of the Hot Spring Pools are set out along a peaceful forest walk centralized around a pond and stream within the rolling hills. The complex will include more than 20 public and private pools with different kind of hot water pools.
As a part of this project, the existing clubhouse will be relocated and a new clubhouse lodge built, as well as a boutique hotel and apartment complex complete with private outdoor forest Hot Spring and bathing pools. The hot springs will have direct access to the public hot springs both during the day and exclusively after hours for hotel guests.
Combined with the already world class St Andrews Golf Course, The Hot Spring will become a “must experience” destination.
